"Remembering the Children Who Never Returned Home." This particular section commemorates the thousands of Aboriginal children who died while they were at residential schools. This was a very dark history. Aboriginal children from across Canada were taken from their communities where they had lived largely outdoor lifestyles and were suddenly confined to schools that were underfunded.
